Count Your Blessings

Well, I don't have any pictures to post. We misplaced our camera and it is draining batteries like crazy so I opened the camera and discovered that there is a hearing aide battery in there that I think it dead and is draining off the regular batteries as soon as you put it in, so as soon as we locate the camera we can get that fixed! We had a great Thanksgiving. Matt's parents and his sister Anna came to visit from Indiana. It was a long drive for them and we are glad they made the trip.

With Matt loosing his job he's been able to spend more time with us and I feel as if we have grown closer as a family and that Matt is able to see the kids when they are awake and happy as compared to tired and cranky like they usually are by the time he would get home from work. I was able to get a job at Hy-Vee and while it is nothing spectacular, it does help pay the bills. I'm glad Matt has been pitching in and has been doing the laundry and dishes, and he took Kaylee to storytime! He has also started reading books since he has spare time and I think he is enjoying that part.

I was able to see New Moon with Matt thanks to our wonderful home teacher who bought us tickets!! We had a fun date night! (not to mention the movie was terriffic! Go Jacob!!)

Right now all we can do is have faith that things will work out. There's not much else we can do other than keep applying to jobs. We do have a strong prospect that we would be more than happy to accept, but it would mean moving again. We hope they will extend a final interview to Matt next week (he has had two really good phone interviews), but the way things have been going the past 2 months we are not expecting it to happen, more like hoping. We will see what happens!
