The Ocean

We got back Sunday night from South Carolina for Zach (Matt's brother) and Meagan's wedding. Our favorite part of S.C. was the ocean! I didn't take any pictures of Kaylee for some reason. I didn't take many pictures at all because Melanie (my sister-in-law) is a wonderful photographer and took some of us as a family at the beach and in other areas. I know she got some good shots of the kids at the beach. When I get the pictures I'll post some more!

Oh So Yellow!

I've always thought yellow was a pretty color for a house until I saw this one. It is extremely bright yellow! It is growing on me, though. This is our new rental house in Illinois.

Kaylee is showing off my Mother's Day cream cake all the kids and I made. We had the missionaries over for dinner and they called their families.

They have really enjoyed making a mess with the water spigot in the front yard. Yesterday they made "soup."

Life in Robinson

I am a slacker at picture taking! I'll post some pictures of our new rental house whenever I remember where I placed the cord. Our branch is pretty small. We received new callings today at church. They have been meeting for year at a 2 hour church and decided since we moved in they could switch to a 3 hour. I didn't know that in a 2 hour church the R.S. President is also the YW president and the Primary president. So now that we are going to a 3 hour block they had lots of callings for us. Matt was asked to be the Gospel Doctrine teacher and I was called as Primary President! And not only am I the president, I get to lead singing time and teach the whole junior primary! It will be an adventure to say the least! I might need to call a few friends from the Morris Ward who I think might have experience with this...hehe...:-)

The schools are pretty much pathetic here which leads us to believe we will be putting them in a private school next school year. They seem to watch movies or "educational shows" such as Magic School Bus constantly, like more than once a day. And their reading is not promoted as much as what my kids are used to. I don't want them to get behind from what they have been doing.

We overall are happy, though. Our home is small, but we are working with it. This will be an interesting stay in Robinson. I wonder how long we will be here...? Our record of stability isn't the greatest, but it wasn't our choice completely the past few moves we made! Perhaps I can blog about normal life things again instead of trials and complications in life. That would be great! :-)
