Webcam!

So we tried out our webcams for the first time today while Matt is in Iowa for a few days on a business trip. It was pretty fun talking to Matt before he went and ate dinner. Has anyone else used a webcam to talk to and see people before or am I just behind on technology? We just figured since Matt's new position requires him to be gone for 6 days a month we might as well try it out. I know 6 days doesn't sound like a lot, but it is about 1/2 a week during 2 weeks of the month, and when I'm home with 4 kids it seems like a lot! If you haven't tried it and your spouse travels a lot you might want to try it out! So far I don't now how private they are. Does anyone know? I've set it so no one else can view it but Matt but how do I know that is what is really happening? I'm not sure if I trust it completely. Should I? Like I said, we are 100% new to webcams!

P.S. How is the world do I add a picture to the header? I have tried and the picture shows up in the settings where you edit, but in the actual blog there is nothing there!!! Any advice?

Birthday Boys!

James and Jonah both had their birthdays this month, and mine was yesterday! I don't have pictures of my birthday on my computer yet, but I did get a few of the boys. James turned 7 in January 6th and Jonah turned 6 on January 4th! They both got Mario Cart long sleeve t-shirts since they are obsessed. I made myself a delicious ice cream "cake" for the first time for my birthday. It was amazing! Overall, January has been a month of celebrations for us, as it usually is with half of the family born in January!

FHE Ideas

I just thought I'd share a link with you for some great FHE ideas! I was emailed the file by our Primary President. It has FHE ideas for a year that correlate with the Sharing Time in Primary. If you regularly use Sugardoodle then I'm sure you've seen it, but I don't so I hadn't seen it. We are going to try it out tonight! Just click on the picture above to go to the website!

Another scrapbooking Page

Alright, I made another one. Do you like this one? I thought I'd do some of 2008 before I loose track of the pictures. I promise I won't post these all the time, but they are kinda fun to do. I downloaded the Scrapbook Flair software and I've been using things on their website. It's user friendly but there are some things you can't do, like rotate things besides photographs. If anyone else knows of a better free program let me know! If you are a member of Scrapbook Flair please let me know as well and I'll add you as a friend! I currently don't have any friends on there.

Scrapbooking Page

So I was checking out Leah's blog and she has uploaded some digital scrapbooking stuff and mentioned she found free stuff online. Well, I'm ALL about the free stuff, so I thought I'd check it out. I have never scrapbooked before in my life so I'm not sure if I know what I am doing or not. I thought I'd try one out, so I started with Jared's birth because that was a major thing that happened last year (besides selling our home, moving, job change, etc.) So is it any good???? Seriously, I have no idea.

New Home Pictures!

Kitchen

Okay, okay....here are pictures of our new home!

Basement. A guy Matt works for GAVE us this sectional! It's awesome! It even has a sleeper in it! The other areas are a bathroom, two bedrooms you can see, and one craft room.

The other side of the basement. It is partially finished.

This is the loft upstairs. Behind this is a bathroom and 3 bedrooms.

Master bathroom

Master shower, tub, and closet.

Master Bedroom.

Dining room is in the background. We have our piano there right now and nothing else really.

This is the living room. You can see the stairs and the kitchen in the background.

This is more of the living room. Notice the curtains in the back. We just added them so I can FINALLY see outside!!! The shades that were there before didn't open so I could never see outside.

If the kids clean their rooms I'll take pictures of them later! We really like our home, but it is a work in progress. We really haven't bought new furniture/decor since we graduated from college so I will have to slowly add things as our budget allows to make our home more "grown up" looking instead of college looking!
